The Foolish Stork and the Clever Crab
(A Lesson on Smart Thinking)
Once upon a time, near a big lake, there stood a very old banyan tree. Many white storks lived happily on its branches.
But inside a hollow at the bottom of the tree lived a naughty black snake. He used to eat the storks’ eggs and babies.
😢 The Sad Stork Mother
One day, a stork mother was crying because the black snake had eaten all her babies.
A red crab came near her and asked, “Aunty, why are you crying?”
🦀 The Clever Crab’s Plan
The crab thought secretly, “I will make a plan that will finish the snake… and even the storks!”
He said, “Aunty, I have an idea. Bring some fish and meat from the mongoose’s burrow and drop it on the ground, making a trail toward the snake’s hollow.”
🦊 The Mongoose Arrives
The mongoose sniffed the pieces of food and followed the trail. He saw the snake and fought with him.
The mongoose fought bravely with the snake.
😨 But Then…
A few days later, the mongoose looked up and saw many fat storks sitting on the branches.
He climbed the tree to catch the storks.
Slowly, one by one, he ate all the storks.
Soon, the whole tree became empty.
✨ Moral of the Story
The solution should never be worse than the problem.
